Autolane is launching the first commercially operating autonomous Direct Delivery pilot in Austin, Texas. Starting July 6, a supervised autonomous vehicle coordinated entirely through the Autolane OS will pick up and deliver food orders on behalf of one of Austin's most prominent food delivery operations, a brand already delivering thousands of meals a day across the city. This marks the first time Autolane's platform has moved beyond AV ridehailing coordination and into autonomous commerce, the category the company is building from the ground up.
